Ramona, who is the founder and project leader of ”Young Female Drivers”, arrange their first event during this weekend. In Young Female Drivers seven female drivers between 15-20 years of age are selected- and are competing in rally, rallycross, stock car and crosskart. The first event were arranged together with Rally Sweden. Early at Friday morning the event started with visiting one of the stages of the rally. Thereafter they visited the service area and DMACK tyres, and also met the Rally legend Michéle Mouton. – Michéle Mouton is a great raw model for me and has always been, and it was really great and a big inspiration to meet her. I was really happy that she took time with the girls. Beacuse this is my goal with this project. To give the girls inspiration, motivation, and to hopefully help them to save some time and energy in their future career, Ramona says.
Friday night Jan Phersson from Simpson arranged a lecture about personal safety and safety equipment. During Sathurday Ramona had a lecture about her way from a Gr.Economy car to a WRC car and how she have builded up her own team. At Ramonas workshop at Tech Pro, Ramona arranged press photography, filming and a workshop discussion, where important questions were lifted up and discussed. Ramona Rallyings team designer Lasse Mehtola at 360gfx were giving advices regarding branding and helmet design, and the Swedish National Team captain in Rally were visiting the workshop and told about their koncept.
– It has been a busy but really great weekend. This is a fantastic group of young, ambitious and talanted girls, and I really look forward to continue working with them, Ramona says. Four meetings is going to be arranged during 2013.
