Ramona and Miriam just finished going through the stages of Rally New Zealand, writing pace notes for 40 kilometers (25 miles) of World Championship Rally.
– Recce has been fine, we think we’ve got good pace notes and a feeling for the road characteristics. They are generally very fast and partially rather leaning roads, Ramona and Miriam says.
Tonight there will be a press meeting at Andrew Simms’s, Auckland’s Mitsubishi distributor, and tomorrow we will go for shakedown. The rally starts on friday morning, and the ladies are set to go.
– We really like the roads, this is going to be real fun. If we find a good flow, we think the roads will be a real pleasure to drive on – but we realize that the competition will be challenging.
