RamonaRX team has had their fair share of challenges and today was no exception. After starting the day on a high delivering the second fastest lap times of the EuroRX Class in warm up, the following heats would provide a few hurdles to surmount.

In Heat one Ramona executed a brilliant start, which is not uncommon, rapidly gaining almost a full car length on the other 4 competitors, only to then lose all power with an electrical fault. Thankfully Ramona’s persistence to restart the engine was successful after numerous attempts, but it took some time for the car to build to top speed. She placed 4th in that heat.

With only a brief break in between Heat one and two, the mechanics had had to work against the clock to pinpoint, analyse and resolve the problem. In addition Ramona requested to have a few chassis setting adjustments made. After a flurry of activity in the paddock and some expert work by the mechanics, the car was back on the track on the start grid line up.

In Heat two Ramona again placed 4th conceding that the altered settings did not work in her favor. Consequently, the car’s settings are presently being reverted to what they were in warm up when Ramona demonstrated excellent pace with top leader board lap times.

The end of the day standings has RamonaRX in 14th place on the EuroRX leader board so their goal tomorrow will be solely focused on stepping up the pace in order to work their way up the standings to twelfth place or above to ensure a place in the Semi Finals.

Warm up starts tomorrow at 8:30 and Heat 3 will follow at 10 am.
