Ramona and Miriam is making a comeback out of the ordinary. They are now taking a step up, and will be driving a WRC car in Swedish Championships in 2013. “It’s Amazing. I’ve been dreaming about driving a WRC car ever since I was a little girl, and now that dream is coming true” Ramona says. She’s been putting in a lot of work in this. “I can hardly believe that this is for real, I can not describe how happy I am – this is the greatest christmas gift of all times!”
This years participation in PWRC came to a sudden stop in New Zealand. Ramona and Miriam was in a safe second place when their car caught fire during one of the stages and burnt down completely. But the ladies didn’t give up, they continued aiming towards other goals. Now the’ll soon be driving a Skoda Fabia WRC, and by doing this they will be the first Swedish women ever to participate in the Swedish Championships in a WRC car.
Ramona and Miriam will be starting in Falun, during the Swedish Championship week on the 26th of January. “I am honoured to continue working together with Mikael Gustafsson and Tech Pro in Kil, and he will be assisting me in chassis settings and tests. Tech Pro is in charge of all technical issues, Ramona says. Other partners will be revieled in middle of January – and a new main sponsor will be presented.
So, what’s going on right now? “We’ve just gotten the car to the garage in Kil. When I get home I’ll try to get some sleep, I have hardly had any sleep this past week”, Ramona laughs. First test will be in the beginning of January. “We know that we have a great car with great material, and we have excellent techical backup. It’s going to be really exciting getting to know the new car, and we’re really looking forward to the first test”, Ramona and Miriam says with confidence.
