It’s the end of the day here in Holjes. As expected the RamonaRX team has had a busy day. In heat 1 Ramona was quick off the line for a fantastic start. Shortly after the first bend, contact from another driver towards the back of her car caused a spin and loss of crucial time. Ramona finished fourth in that heat.
In the following heat 2 Ramona delivered another good start. Despite a lot of congestion and contact on many of the corners, Ramona remained undaunted to deliver a solid drive finishing third in her heat after PG Andersson and Lukas Walfridsson.
This event is not within the European Rallycross Series. It is an extra event for the RamonaRX team and only World RX class standings are given for this event. The standings at the end of today put Ramona in 28th place overall out of 35 Supercar drivers. The competition is tight and the times are very close within these rankings.
“Of course I would have liked to have been higher up in the leader board today but because of my spin in my first heat I lost a lot of time. I must also remember to consider the competition here is not only very experienced but very strong. It is great for me to be here racing at my home track with these other drivers. We eagerly look towards tomorrow now!” comments Ramona
