One of the worlds biggest and most popular competition in rallycross, the FIA World Rallycross Championship in Höljes, Sweden, is aiming to improve even more. During the FIA meeting in Finland, Morgan Östlund Clerk of the course at Höljes RX, made en agreement with consultants Ramona Karlsson and Glenn Mattsing to develop the event.
– There´s an increasing interest in rallycross for every year and that means that we have to improve, says Morgan.
Therefore, Finnskoga Motorclub, is joining up with rally and rallycross driver Ramona Karlsson who has been working with sponsors and event for several years. – I´m looking forward to work with rallycross in a different way than as a driver, and especially with Höljes RX that is one of the most well- reputed competitions in the world, Ramona says. For Ramona this is a perfect timing since the coming season is paused due to pregnancy.
Höljes is as always aiming to make the best event possible. The coming year Höljes will prior cummunication. To improve communication and business development Finnskoga have made an agreement with former CEO for the Swedish edition of Outside Magazine, Glenn Mattsing.
Glenn also works with development of a border shopping project close to Höljes and started a new event called Rallycross Warmup during 2015.
– I´m thankful for the oppurtunity and look forward to work with an event with such a good reputation world wide, Glenn says.
For the 2016 event Höljes is expecting almost 50 000 visitors, a new record.
– We are very hopeful, and think that the upcoming event will attract more people due to increased coverage in Swedish television and new Rallycross stars coming in, Morgan says.
